Sunnyside Rules & Guidelines

Sunnyside Coaching and Volunteer Guidelines

This is to help parents and players view what rules and guidelines (voted in by the board) coaches and volunteers are obligated to follow. These rules cannot, and will not be changed until the annual board meeting, where rules and guidelines can be amended.

1. All coaches of the Sunnyside program will be voted in each and every season by the board. They can only be voted off by the board during the season.

2. Coaches will be given only two assistant coaches for the season ( No More than two).
3. The Sunnyside Program (all teams) will be running the same playbook (offense and defense)  Some plays may be added by the individual coaches.
4. All head and assistant coaches must be certified by the league. This needs to be completed before the first game.
5. The Head Coach from each squad is required and responsible to provide all information (announcements, paperwork, pictures, award banquets, etc.) to their parents. They are also responsible for all equipment issue and turn-in, and to be able to have a good relationship with the parents.
6. Each squad will have a roster of up to thirty-six (36) players before splitting into another team. (If this happens, there will be two squads in the same age).
7. All coaches must read and sign a contract (for Sunnyside Grid Kid records) before being able to coach, and before they are assigned to a team)

More rules and guidelines are to come as the program continues to grow! For rules and Guidelines for the whole league please visit the Yakima Valley Page or go to their website.
